There is a guy by the name of Nick Hickerman who is comming through town looking for action. Has anyone on this forum ever hear of this guy or knows of how he plays? Any response will be greatly apperciated.

On the Run said:Thanks for all the replies. Nick gave me the last 2 on the bar box, so I played him 8 ahead for $500. We played 2 sets and he beat me both sets. Both of the sets probably lasted an hour. Not only was he a real good player but he kept getting all the roles. The first set, he breaks and makes the 9 on the break. The second game he breaks and makes 3 ball, out of the remaining 6 balls, 3 were hangers. I didn't get to the table until the 4th game when he broke and came up dry. When I finally get to the table I had to kick. Next, he puts a 3 pack on me. During the 2 sets that we played, Nick only missed 3 balls. He definiitely had his break working for him last night. After he beat me, he did offer me the last 3, but I had to refuse. I wanted the 7 and the last three with alternating breaks and he didn't like that game; so we called it a night. My overall impression of Nick was that he was a quite guy who plays good pool but doesn't have much gamble in him.

I am actually proud of On The Run for steppin up and playing, not just investigating. Good for you to show some gamble. Personally I would not have fired $500 but I dont know what you're holdin either.
Someone who actually jumped up and played without a resume'? Kudos, I know you lost; but, in the long run you develop a tolerance for playing for the cash and you might take the next one off.On the Run said:Thanks for all the replies.
