Does anyone think Frost is favourite over Alex in the upcoming 1p $50000 match?

with Alex on fire recently in any game, but in 1pocket winning the big money tournament beating frost and also chopping with JJ in Houston 1p lets not forget he torched Frosty in their last 8 ahead for 20k

im curious whats the line on Frost?

frost always first to say how he won the most gambling and he has never lost to efren for money

what do you all think my fellow educated Azers?

I think it is pretty close to even. Alex may have a tiny edge but not much.

I think Frost got hustled in last match with Alex and he should have known better.

Frost should have won 2 or 3 more titles at DCC, that IMO, he gave away. IMO, if he is prepared and ready to play its pretty close to even. If he comes and plays like the last match, he doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell.

IMO Alex is on fire for sure, but Frost is a different player for the cash.

Right now in the Action Room, you have to lay 3:2 to get action on Alex to win.

ye thats what im thinking,

im guessing in arizona though or iowa frost might be the favourite

there both good players for the cash so dont think anyone will be hit by the pressure
think frost self proclaims himself as best 1p on planet so if alex beats him again along with the tournament wins against him dont know how he can say he is better than alex

Frost has the heart of a champion...
Pagulayan has a better stroke...and also the heart.
I feel Frost has some shots no one else has.

Gonna be a good match....:happydance:

The only people that would make frost favorite over Alex are the people that hate their money and want to get rid of it fast.

Correct me if I am wrong but does Scott not have an overall winning record against Alex? I could swear he won nearly every time they played on a tight pocket Diamond.

Then you didn't watch them play 8 ahead for $20,000.

Edit - It wasn't a Diamond, but it was a tight table.

If Frost brings his best mental game and plays a little more controlled game, I think he is still the slight favorite. That being said, if I had to bet, my money would be on Alex, because I'm not sure Scott is strong enough mentally to overcome the last coupla losses to Alex. Will the table make a difference? Scott prefers Diamonds, right?

I agree, Scott has a much better chance this time. Last time was not a good example of Scott's abilities, but I'd still take Alex.

I agree, it would be very unwise to bet against Alex !..But, I do have a few bets, on Scott having a better overall tournament, than Efren..And I still have a few $$$ left to wager, if anyones interested ? ;) Efren's always been one of my heroes, but I think he has lost a few too many steps, to compete with this crew ! (been wrong before...once !) :p

PS..I'm referring to the late June, six man Accu-stat tournament, in NJ !

Assuming Scott keeps his head in it, it is much closer than it was when they played then with Alex still being a favorite, but the gap has closed. Scott has been working fairly hard on his game here as of recent...I'm looking forward to this one.

Based on the 20,000 dollar match, seems like you'd have to be a fool to bet on Scott. But I think someone on here said recently he wasn't himself during that match and maybe he had other stuff going on in life or with his health or something that affected his play. But I mean damn, if you watch Alex during that match he plays airtight defense, moves creatively, and doesn't miss a ball - hard to do anything against that, whether or not you're at the top of your game. Seems like Frost is best when he can freewheel and intimidate others with his firepower and Alex just played so impeccably the last time that Scott could seemingly never really get going. The other thing I noticed about that match is Alex played infuriatingly slow at some points - looking at a shot, walking around the table and finding 4 or 5 more possible shots, and then going back and shooting the first one. Which I'm sure was to the end of further frustrating Freezer. Now say that five times fast.
