Does Europe make any good quality production cues?

Japan has Mezz and Adam. Canada has Falcon. US has Schon and many others. How about Europe? Aside Snooker cues, does it make any production cues which have very good quality?

Longoni - made in Italy - nice pool and carom cues.

Europe has a long history of producing carom cues: Germany, Italy, France, and Belgium have all been home to a number of noted cue makers, but I'm not certain what is on offer as far as quality production pool cues are concerned. It would appear that family companies or long-standing small business enterprises characterize cue making in Europe, rather than the larger companies common to North America or Japan.

There is a company in Rodermark, Germany called Eurowest that was started by Bill Stroud of Josswest Cues in 1994. The cues have a basic production line and a Custom line with the same name and for all intents and purposes look very similar to Josswest Cues and since Bill was involved the construction techniques used in building them also is very similar to Bills established techniques and style.

Bill Stroud is also responsible to starting the Chinese cue craze that hit American the 1990's. Bill went to China and helped tool up one of the largest Chinese factories, he also help train the craftsmen who build the cues. This factory produces some of the highest quality imports that are being brought in the USA from China, and when compared with other Asian cues that are imported there is a marked difference. The cues have real inlays, true V-spliced points not decals, and they are finished to perfection.

Hope this helps.

In Germany, there are of course the named "Eurowest-Cues", but additionally you have two famous and a couple of great less well known cuemakers for Custom cues, which are Arthur and Vollmer Cues (which you can look up in the web)

Sven Schmidt (the guy who made my cue), Cem, Peter Ernst, Heino Klosek, Ivan Hodzic, Hartmann, Franz Hauber and I bet many others...

Damn I missunderstood your topic, I believe, these guys only do Custom Cues and small Series maybe, except Eurowest

Production cues

While I lived in Germany. A popular quality production cue was BEAR looked and played like Joss cues. A lower end line was Buffalo.

Most Definitely-

EuroWest all the way- they were developing materials for ferrules Joints and inlays way back in like 1997- stylish, expensive, but (should be excellent players). because of Bill Stroud experience. and there will be others since there is Furniture?woodProducts History. Take the great George Balabuska from Russia. Mark

i'm not sure but longoni does better billiard cues, in billiards it is respected and considered nice cues, in pool i don't know because i never played with it.
