OK i bought a Meucci Original a few months back, it is NICE re-wrapped and re-finished by Meucci, and had the original shaft re-conditioned and can with 2 new shafts that match. The guy i bought the cue from owns the pool hall i frequent with, and has a vast knowledge of cue's. He said the Cue alone was worth 350$ which is what i paid for the cue and the 2 new cues as a package. That he had in his for sale case.

Yet, now i want to sell the cue, and the three shafts for around 250$ yet everyone looks at me like i am smoking Crack.

I do get alot of compliments that the cue hits very nice.

Yet it seems like everyone has something against Meucci's

Well, not really. Your post is far too coherent to be on crack. If you were, i'd expect it to read:

OK i bought a Meucci Original a few months back and I sold it for crack. Everyone is out to get me, can I borrow $50? ;)

Meucci cues rarely sell for more than 50% of retail when resold used. What does your cue retail for? It should bring about half of that if it is in really good shape. You might come out ahead by trading it for something you like better.

In my opinion the older Meucci Originals are much better quality than the newer ones. I, for one, don't care for them but I don't think you are out of line asking that much for one in good condition with 3 shafts. Maybe post some pics to give an idea of the model and condition.

Meucci Originals can be worth alot of money if you have a good one. A guy on our pool team told me a great story about a friend of his from arizona. He had a Meucci Original tha was given to him by his father. He wondered if it was authentic or a knock off. My friend told him to send it to meucci and find out. He got a call from meucci about 2 weeks after he sent the cue. They wanted to know if the cue was for sale. He asked them how much? They offered to cut a check right know for $30,000. He said no thanks i'll take the cue back. They sent the cue back with a letter of authenticity. I wish my meucci was worth that much.
 
Some of the earlier Ivory inlaid Meucci cues are worth a lot. But the average Meucci from the 90' and 00's usually bring about 1/2 present retail. I just took a newer used Meucci Gambler in on trade for one of my old used plain Jane cues I built in 1990 with leather wrap and no inlays and I got $100 to boot. Very fancy Meucci in great shape plus $100 for my old plain cue, pretty much tells the story to me. Anyone want to make offers on the Gambler with black dot shaft?

TO: Chris,,, the Ferrules dont crack on these shafts, cuz i have a couple times used the cue to break, when i am not breaking good with my break cue. The two new shafts have NEW ferrules on them so there is no worry about them breaking or cracking.

Was a joke to cueman. I install ALOT of ferrules on meucci's.
You might try posting your cue on the for sale forum.

The black dot shafts have a solid capped ferrule and that is why they don't break like the other Meucci ferrule.
 
there sems to be a lot of uses of the word " crack " in this thread, thank god a plumber didn't post !!!!!! LOL

I think that there's something bad@ss in the appearance of a 3 pointer cuestick and Meucci seems to make a lot of them. I just like the looks of them and don't know why. Perhaps I should begin smoking ice and crack. Mmmm mmmm.
 
You bought it a few months ago, it hits nice, and you get compliments. You now want to sell it; and then ask if anybody likes Meucci? Apparently you don't.
 
For those inquiring about the Meucci Gambler 2, I will take $375 for it. That is just over half of retail of $740.

Well the reason i wanna sell my Meucci, is because, i got a decent deal on a Pechaur cue, for 300$ so thats why i wanna sell my Meucci.
If you happen to look in a cue cataloge, it is a sneaky pete, with reverse inlays that go from the joint to the middle of the butt. it goes for like 480$ i believe. the only thing different about the cataloge pic is it has a metal joint, and the inlays are different color.


I mean the cue does hit nice, everyone who has played with it, likes the way it hits, i just like the Pechaur better.

And yes i do like this cue. I just like the Pechaur better lol.
