Does This Constitute Being a "Nit"?

Unlike most pool players, I'm not much of a gambler - always had a great job and supported my 2 kids. But if the bet was right I would play.

One time I played this guy who asked me to gamble, sets of 9ball. I worked 2-16 hour shifts on the weekend and also worked fulltime at home. The only time I really had to play pool was from midnight until 7 am on the weekends, and I was usually just practicing. So we started after I worked 1 of the 16 hour shifts, shortly after midnight and I kept winning every set. He got his nose so wide open, he just wouldn't quit and he never asked for an adjustment. We were playing even, so I guess it would be too humiliating to ask for a spot.

Around 5 am, I told him I would have to leave at 6am to get back to work for another 16 hr. shift at the hospital. I started work at 7 am, so I thought I would warn him that he only had an hour to get some of his money back. He just kept losing. At 6, I told him I had to leave and he got all pissy and started ranting about me quitting winner. I fired back saying that if I stayed there until he won, I would be on Social Security!

Maybe it was nitty quitting winner, but I let him know I would continue another time. I never got sleep that weekend!
