I was just wondering how many people here go to pool rooms where poker is big. When I was in college (finished 1.5 years ago), two out of three halls in town had it. A smoking ban was put in place that year, and it seemed like people would only come for the poker tournaments after that. The next town I moved to, the pool hall didn't have any poker tournaments though, and nobody seemed to care about poker at all.

I'm not a poker player. I played online a little bit, but then I stopped. Not my thing. I'm just wondering how it has affected everyone else's pool halls, if it has had a positive or negative effect.
 
Nothing new. Always had poker in the back, gambling, sex, drugs, booze, name it they have it. Why do you think it is a favorite and there are always people hanging around?:confused:
