Dominiak cue review please????

My past experience with Dominiak is that the non dominator shafts (HG or normal maple) are tapered to the user request... maybe that has changed since then.

When I ordered my cue I got a 11.75mm conical tapered shaft and a 12.75 15inch pro tapered shaft. The shaft wood is very good with tight grain and have remained laser straight even though they were not HG grade.

Regarding hit, they have a certain ping or tick to them so you might want to change the ferrule or tip.
 
i bought one of the HG partials....I'm sure there is a lot of variance, but mine had awesomely tight and straight grain, the best shaft I've ever seen personally.

22 inch could mean a lot of things, people measure taper in various ways. the taper that came on mine was pretty stiff. i don't think it would fit into most people's idea of a 22 inch taper.

i agree with the previous poster, the shaft does tend to ping/tink in a way I didn't like. i replaced the LBM ferrule with a Juma one and I liked that much better.
