I was wondering if anyone out there is playing with a dominiak , I currently play with a predator sneaky pete with a 314-2 shaft . I was looking on his site and the ultra pete is looking real nice to me . Any info would be appreciated.

Good cue :-)

They hit GOOD. I hit with one of a friend of mine and I vowed to get one. When it was time, I got one, a GOOD one.

Dont think Ill be selling this one.

I always liked them-Good value, good looking and good hitting-I think most are wrapless. Mine were and always are.

Very low resell values. Solid cues with a fair local following.

Buy one used over new if possible

I believe the Ultra Petes come with no wrap, the Sweet 16 generally have a wrap unless you order it otherwise. I wish these had a bigger "usership", following (or whatever) .. I wish more people played with them
These are really excellent cues and all American made. He really stands behind his product or at least that's my experience and in my opinion that D3 is an outstanding alternative to the Predator shafts, but still, I remain a loyal Predator guy

I bought one off of Craig's list (real good buy) it hits very good, nice cue but I prefer my Predator. Let me know if you would like to see it for a possible buy. Thanks

Would you be able to send pics?

They are excellent cues from a stand up guy who makes cues from the ground up (literally).

Best cue I ever shot with. Also one was damaged badly in an accident. Took it apart. WOW fHARD to believe the construction. A REAL CUE Should be WAY ahead of all others 4 SURE.

Can you clarify what you found in the construction? From your post I'm not sure if you think it was good or bad.

a very fussy low-pro player friend of mine was sponsored by dominiak a few years ago and he LOVED their cues.

I hit with a couple of the ones he had and I agree, they hit great and looked to be made well.

So they appear to be a very good value for a cue made here in the USA.

best,

I'd just like to know how he took it apart? A well built cue doesn't just come apart.

Dominiak

I've got Bill's 001 cue, which i continually vacillate over selling... it hits great, but the handle is just a touch thick for me. I've had a sweet 16 (that I sold). It was a VERY nice cue, reasonably well made. When you look at the cost... VERY well made. It wasn't perfect, but dang good. One of my friends have one he considers selling from time to time... They are good value cues (yes no resale value) that hit really well.

It just depends what you are looking for...

3.5" radial pin - adhesive that cannot be broken off or compromised, appears to be a full length threaded 3/8" rod through center of butt and super leather wrap / workmanship throughout. Sweet 16. I've had a Tiger, Predator and off brand laminated shafts that delaminated - all shortly after the warrantee program and had to trash them all. This D2 is now a few years old - Cannot tell from brand new. I suppose it's the mass advertising however - I cannot believe the Dominiak cues are not seen as much as their BIG NAME competition. GOOD GOOD WOOD.

See the for sale link in my signature for pics... It was purchased quite a few years ago at SBE. Bill had a table by himself and a few cues (5-10 iirc) that he had just finished.
