Due to some very generous donations last year, we received Cues, New Racks and a Red Circle cue ball. Thank you to all who donated, you know who you are. :)

This year we would like to replace the Ball's. They have two 4X8 tables in the Billiard room; the balls are old & beat.

They could also use a Box of Blue Master Chalk as well. I have been buying the Chalk from a local Pool hall and they are overcharging me.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated and will remain anonymous if you wish.

You can PM me or post here if you would like.

I am presently working a deal with a local table mechanic to recover the tables and maybe replace the rail rubber.

:)

Thank you,
Mike

I don't mean any offense, but why not buy the chalk from some supplier like Mueller's. A one gross box is less than $20. Don't let some local pool hall rip you off.

You may even try explaining your situation to one of the suppliers and see if they would donate some chalk and other supplies to you.

Good luck with the donations.

Sending a gross of Blue Master. Hope the folks enjoy it.

Grady, fwiw, it just occurs to me that if you were down in that area sometime a little bit of your time donated for a small exhibition and group lessons might be appreciated. It would of course have to be restricted to the "regular" participants at the senior center or you'd get half the people around there that play pool showing up.

Cap't Hook, at 60 I'm technically a senior (I play in a soccer senior's division :D ) so in the not too distant future I assume I'll be hanging around a senior center well my young wife (50) goes off to work. From that perspective I can truly appreciate what you're doing. Some people may think they can buy this stuff themselves, but the senior guys with disposable cash probably aren't hanging around a senior center.

Yes. most are fixed income to low income, a few no income guys come up
for lunch sometimes. They have a senoir lunch program everyday, a discount pharmacy. Depending on the day, they have a movie or musical entertainment in the afternoon. Some of the guys play Chess or cards or Bingo, some checkers and The pool players hang out in the Billiard room from noon to about 3:30. One of the guys played with Mosconi and he still has a great stroke.:)
A few bring Cues, and the other's enjoy the Pool Cues that were donated last year.:D

Cap'n Hook...Are you a gambler?? Then go buy a set of balls...your choice of brand...and send me the bill. That way we can save shipping charges.

I'll send you a PM for contact information if you agree. But you've gotta send me a bill marked paid...instead of you just telling me what it would cost....because I want to make this a test of faith in human nature!!!

That sounds like a great offer. As soon as I get up enough to buy a set, I will get back to you.:)

....take a look now...price dropped to $110.00 shipped. This is a great deal for one of the best sets of balls available.

I didn't say I was a gambler now did I buddy? And I don't think it is particularly appropriate to be questioned on the nature or extent of my willingess to donate to a Senior Center I HAVE NEVER EVEN HEARD OFF!

But I see that you also had a suggestion for Grady about donating his time as well has his money..re: the chalk he sent.

What are you donating by the way?

It was a joke my man, geez lighten up. Or didn't you notice the smiley icon on the end of the sentence. You're clearly way to sensitive.

What I have donated or not donated is none of your business.
