Hello.I just wanted to wright a little review of the double refund cue getting passed around.I am giving my honest opinion of the cue, some of it is good and some bad.The fist thing I have to say it was well worth the wait.I got the cue in the mail and riped the box open right away.Wow was the fist thing I thought, the cue looks very good.I love the wood pin.I started looking at the cue very close.Well I found a few problems but nothing major. The first thing I noticed is that you can kind of feel where the rings are in the cue. Then I saw the inlays they need a little work but look good. The shaft is so nice I thought it was the wrong one for the cue.I mean for the price Chuck sells his cues for I never thought it would have such a nice shaft.I went straight to the pool hall to hit some balls.I just true out all the balls and before I new it I had run them all off.The next rack the same thing.I play an older guy some one pocket every day so he walks in.We start playing and I felt very good playing with this cue.The hit is crisp with a lot of feed back.I was shocked but very pleased. The cue is a little heavy for my taste but not to bad.The cue plays good.I let a few players hit with it and they all seemed to like it.Well over the week I had this cue I played a lot.The more I played the better I liked the cue.I am sad to have to send it to the next guy.I will be on the look out for one of Mr. Starsky's cues (hope I spelled that right). Thanks for the chance to see and play with one of your cues.

One thing to remember as far as the rings and inlays of the cue goes is that the cue has been passed through many hands and undergone extreme climate and humidy changes through being shipped over and over agian. I believe that it has also been refinished multiple times. Still the cue remains straight and hits great. This is why when I finally get ready to order my first custom (yes I know, an AZBer who has never ordered a custom cue, right? :p ) it will be a Chuck Starsky.

That is true it has seen a lot of players. That is why I said it was no big deal.I would buy a cue from Mr. Starsky any day.The cue still plays lights out even after all the people that have had it.I would be willing to buy it when it is for sale.

The way to get on the list is to pm Chuck on this forum he goes by the name desi2960.I am sure the list is long but you can probley still get on it.

great cue

I had the cue this week and thought it was great! I noticed the imperfections in the inlay but realize this is meant to be passed around just to give us an idea of the playability of the cue. I appreciate the opportunity to try it out and am now on the lookout for my own!

Not to long ago I tried a Starkey custom, and I was impressed, A great playing cue with minimal deflection..

Great hitting cue with very pretty finish and some unusual and imaginative woods and butterflies.
