Double spot shots

Probably Byrne. Probably described as "Jewett's Ten-Times Fuller" system. Coincidentally, Bob Jewett has the same name.

Ah yes you know as I think about it I still can't remember how to do "Jewett's interference systems 1 & 2 even though I practically memorized those books way back when, maybe Bob would be good enough to shoot a training video of them to better lock it in for those of us that are not that bright, maybe with Dr. Dave? Tom Ross? Or both of them? Hey Bob pretty please?

Obviously (or maybe not) it comes up in 1P all the time , altho it's not always the best option.

Well the situation comes up all the time for sure in 1P especially with 2 equally or almost equally skilled players. If you play 2 or 3 races in 1P it WILL come up at least once. I am going to practice this because I will probably use this against someone who is a handicap above me.

One very large factor is how much follow is transferred to the object ball. In the first shot on the video you can see (I think) that the object ball takes a hook towards the pocket as it leaves the spot. How much it hooks depends on how much follow is transferred and that depends on how sticky/chalky the cue ball is.
Yes, watching it over and over I can see that the head ball definitely hooks a little. I think it would hit at least a couple inches up the long rail if not for that. On the other hand, it also seems clear that it would get almost to the pocket even without hooking.

I think that if a hook is visible in a low-res video it must be at least 15-20 degrees. More measurements are needed.

Could be - I tried to see what direction it was going before it hooked, but it happens so fast it's an error prone measurement at best. Can YouTube videos be viewed in slomo?

EDIT: Watched a few more times and can see that I underestimated the hook, but can't really tell by how much. It happens in the first 6 inches or so of the ball's travel, and of course it's curving during that whole time, not just in the last couple of inches, so I'm sure you're right that it's more than I first thought.
