I purchased my cue from Doug 6 months ago. The transaction was smooth and timely, and Doug was great to talk with. Now, after a loooong lay-off, involving only a few games a week until the new year, I have played this beauty enough to give my true impressions:

Visually this cue is stunning and unique, and gets everyone's attention when I pull it from the case. The fit and finish are extraordinary, and the all of the woods Doug selected just scream with the intense figuring.
Playability has shown to been an absolute delight. After playing with production cues for years, and most recently a low deflection shaft, I had no idea what to expect. Much to my delight Doug's shaft show no more, deflection than my 314 shafts, yet seems to generate greater, and more predictable, english.
Right from the first shot, I did not need to adjust for anything other than a softer hit with much much more feel. For the first time I was actually getting so much feedback from the cue, I actually was aware of the slightest miss-hit, even when making he shots and getting good shape. This was not something I had felt with the "better" production cues I had been playing with for so long. Everyone who has shot with it comments about the great "hit" it has!
I couldn't be happier with my Patrick cue, and Doug Patrick.
