They have effectively killed the two-way shot.
you are so right they should not take this part of the game away
They have effectively killed the two-way shot.
if they try to take all the luck out of pool they are going to ruin the real game of pool every single sport that i can think of has some sort of luck involve nomatter how great u play u still need a little luck on ur side like when u break the balls and make one u are not always going to have a shot so u cant take that luck out of the game

I've been saying this for years. You obviously can not legislate all the luck out of pool (or almost anything in life for that matter) and trying to do so with these types of rules does nothing but change the game, and not for the
better. I think they should leave well enough, alone! Taking the "2 way" shot out of pool is a really bad idea. It robs the spectators out of the opportunity to see some truly great shots that will never be attempted because of
the poorly thought out rule that was enacted.
As an example; when Earl won the famous "million dollar bonus" for running the 10 racks in CJ's tournament. The insurance company who underwrote the "bonus", had a group of college students research the odds of running 10
racks in tournament play. They based their findings on past tournament performances. What they didn't take into consideration was that in the past tournaments, the players didn't have that "million dollar carrot" dangling out
there and played the safer situations where it was the smarter move to play safe than to try to run out in a lot of cases. When Earl had the opportunity to win the big bucks by running the 10 racks, that greatly influenced his
decisions on whether to try to make the hard shots, rather than play safe! The results speak for themselves and the crowd got to see a spectacular performance they would have other wise not have seen.
