I recently appeared again as a featured guest on a podcast with famous astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson on his StarTalk Sports Edition program to discuss bowling physics, technology, and strategy. This is a shortened and edited video version including excerpts from the podcast, supplemented by illustrations and video demonstrations of the things being discussed. Interesting pool analogy examples are also provided. Check it out:

Content:
0:00 - Intro
1:15 - Misspent Youth
1:55 - Oily Lanes
3:28 - Euler Gyroscopic Effects
5:14 - Ball Technology
5:45 - Curve Ball
7:33 - Entry Angle
8:50 - Momentum
9:33 - Reading the Lanes
13:14 - Perfect Game
14:26 - Aiming Accuracy
16:11 - Bowling Revolution
16:49 - Wrap Up

As always, I look forward to your feedback, comments, questions, complaints, and requests.

Enjoy!

PS: I hope you guys don't mind my temporary digression or diversion into bowling. I promise to return my focus back to pool in future videos. 🤓

Didn't mind at all. Watched only your condensed version. Interesting to see how much bowling has changed since I bowled as a youngster back in the mid 1950's. In a way, the balls used then are like mud balls in pool.
