Drag follow

So I have a question, I've noticed everytime I do a thin cut drag follow (or just drag kill) I hit the OB too thick, I'm playing on a ring game right now and every person I've seen it do it under cut it. Is there a reason why this is happening? I don't have a problem with thin cuts using top, bottom, inside, outside so this is not making sense to me

In general as softer shot without full follow will throw more than a firm shot with follow. That would tend to result in undercuts if the player does not compensate for it. I would expect this to be a problem only when the object ball is over a diamond from the pocket, usually.

Thank you Bob, I practiced it for a little bit. on those shots aiming at the "sucker side" half of the pocket seems to solve the problem.

I also noticed that if the CB just barely starts rolling forward when is impacting the OB it looks like it creates some kind of skid on the OB and it throws it off line. Is there any truth to that?

I think you're just seeing more throw unless there is an excessive amount of pixie dust (chalk) on the balls.
