Basically the thing with drills is that you practice them, then get good at them. So you need a constant fresh source of drills!

I've found the best thing is to keep track of shots I miss. Take paper and pen with you when playing. Diagram the shots you miss. Then make your own drills based on the shots you have trouble with.

Take the basic shot you missed, then make it a progressive drill. Move the object ball further and further away from the pocket. Or move the cue ball further and further away from the object ball.

For shots you have trouble with, mark the exact locations of the balls on the table with chalk, then shoot the same exact shot over and over 25 times.

Practice what you are not good at. This works like magic!

So does anyone have any links to some websites with good drills?

So far all I have found is:
http://youtube.com
http://billiards.colostate.edu/
http://easypooltutor.com

Anybody else got some good ones? There are so many instructional dvd's for sale that I wouldn't even have a clue what to get... so I might as well work on the free resources. I have increased my practice time to 2-3 hours per day and I want to make the best of it.

You might want to check out http://members.aol.com/blkbeltbilliards/. No free drills, but his book of drills is not that expensive.

A number of basic drills:

Drills mixed with technical articles:

See the following for 5 levels of progressive practice drills starting on page 7:

As Billy Bob mentioned, a very good way to do drills is to make your own. How to make your own is explained in one of the articles in the top link above.

Drill:

(1). Get money (amount optional - more = better), (2). Find pool hall, (3). Find player in pool hall, (4). Ask player "wana play some?" (5). ???? (6). Profit (or go busto, whichever comes first), (7) repeat.
