drills

I have a bad back (herniated disk) anyone now how to do drills with this problem?

Don't do it, it's not worth it. Have you had your herniated disc diagnosed by a doctor? If so, I'm sure he told you how important it is to stop doing anything that stresses it. Most herniated discs heal themselves within 1-2 months, unless you aggravate it and cause it to rupture. Then you are looking at surgery and possible vertebrae fusion and reduced mobility for the rest of your life. That usually comes after years of agonizing pain and inability to do regular activities.

If you ever want to get back to normal, you need to take it easy, do any physio that was prescribed by your doctor, and let your back heal. Continued strain will halt healing, make it worse, and possibly even permanent. You need to be 101% before you even attempt to play pool again. Studies have shown that prematurely returning to strenuous activities significantly increases relapse rate.

If I were in your position, I would take this opportunity to buy a few books and DVDs on pool. Study the game a bit, watch some accu-stats and enjoy the other parts of your life. Pool will still be here in 2 months... or will it? 2012.

1) Drill#1: Get MRI
2) Drill#2: If severely herniated or ruptured, get surgery and forget the exercises/chiropractors

Take it from someone who had 2 L5/S1 surgeries--- NOTHING worked until I got surgery.

Damn Spidey, you are a young man to have those back problems. You were not wrestling with the girls in your avatar?
