Because some of us don't frequent other areas of AZ, I thought I'd send a "heads up" to everyone about this year's DM's Holiday tournament, open to all here at AZ...

It is for players who want to compete with others here, but don't want to travel to some distant location to do that. It is simple and requires a little time alone on a table, but is fun fun fun...and, oh, if you qualify, you're guaranteed 100,000 a year: Not dollars, but 100,000 excuse as to why you shot poorly.:D

Here's the link to the section:

http://forums.azbilliards.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=59

If you want to do something good for your game and maybe gain some bragging rights around here, why not join us? It is over, I believe, when the DCC starts, or at least until New Year's day, 2007.

Unless you're chicken, that is...;)

Chef-man,
Nawwwww; go ahead and offer the 100 thou in dollars. You can guarantee it out of your own pocket. There is precedent after all. If you can't swing it this year, you can just have some qualifiers for some more holiday tournaments next year. Just some free advice.

Don't forget that he can even claim the money is in escrow with a national accounting firm.

After watching all the fun that ensued last yr, I thought I would partake this yr but had some speed bumps pop up along the way this yr and didn't get a chance to start hitting the pool room like I wanted to do. (I've currently got approx 4 excuses for this :o ) Hopefully next yr the only excuse you'll hear is when I'm posting my scores. The excuse? I suck at pool! :D

Does extreme hype sell????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was under the impression that the DMHT was NOT optional. All AZ members must participate or risk belittlement. And who really wants to be belittled by the Betmore dude. He's got a sharp tongue.

At one time I felt the DMMHT was for everyone on AZB, all it took to participate I thought was a pool table and a little time. I have however been forced to revise my opinion over time.

I have reviewed the official players folders of all current and former DMMHT participants that include the IQ, personality and polygraph tests we have all taken in connection with this event. Although the participants have come from all over the world different cultures and backgrounds I have noticed some common qualities all participants from last place to first place have shared.

-courage
-self esteem
-desire

Maybe the DMMHT is not for everyone after all.

Yikes!!! And let me add an Owee-Yowee here, too. Are you sure you're all right? What position was this hand/arm in when the accident occurred?

I had both hands on the wheel at 10 & 2... I change up my grip so I could've had my thumbs up against the wheel (thumbs up sign) or wrapped up wards flush against my forefinger. I assumed my thumbs were in a thumbs up sign & the force jammed my thumb but the ER doc said they see this injury a lot from the force of the air bag deploying. It's one of the two, I just don't know which.

The kicker is that today I got a citation in the mail!! There was no stop sign either way. I didn't see her as she was coming in from a smaller driveway type of alley & I was in a larger alley. I was in the "intersection" when she hit me. She hit my right front tire.... the pics show the fender damage on the right above the tire. I was in the intersection, she pulled out sending me to the left into the telephone poll.

The cop walked over to where she pulled out from and looked for a stop sign... he mentioned that she didn't have a stop sign (in an incredulous manner) and I agreed that neither one of us did. He sent us on our way. A cop that showed up later told one of the firemen that was also on the scene that if he were working the accident scene, he would've written the other person a citation.

A week later, I get a citation in the mail. I'm pretty shaken up about this. When I talked to my insurance company last week and showed them the pics, they found her to be at fault from the pics of the intersection and the damage to my car.

I'm just beside myself at this point. :(

Go to traffic court and explain that to the judge. And tell him that that injury came as a result of hitting the last guy who tried to take advantage of you. :D
