This is the table I played on last night after a few games of bowling. Only £1 per game for this quality too :(

That's the results of someone useing spray glue to hold the cloth in place...and it's pulled loose.

there was actually a chunk of slate missing. You could drop a pencil through there, lol

Broken slate

Its kinda visually awkward to see a hole through the slate when your playing, but as long as the missing piece is not in the playing surface there shouldn't be a problem. I have played on one similar to this, but it was missing one of "ears" of the side pocket. The break came just short of the line where the balls roll down the rail about 6 inches and never bothered the playing surface. Much more commonly found is the slate broke in half or from the side rail across to the end rail, which is usually from the table being picked up and dropped.

I am gonna say that one is missing a rail bolt though. That will affect the play to some extent.

Coin op table ?

The example I gave was a problem on a coin-op table where the rails all bolt on from the sides, not through the slate. I assumed, maybe wrongly, that the posters pictures were of a one piece slate, coin-op also, maybe not
