I've got plenty of pics as well but have to sort them out first, so don't know if they will be of any interest by that time.

Damn, we could probably have been beside one another with gopi-1 and CebuanoNiNoy and didn't even know that!:(

I wish I was there Vahmurka... :(
I'm holed right here in San Diego and grinding it out. Hope to see your pics soon bro!

Are you still in the Philippines or out already? or Probably you're also in Japan just like many other foreign players now..?
no, I returned home soon after Negros Oriental tournament ended. Only made a one-day visit to Bohol. If on Cebu next year, we will stay there longer.

Well, probably next year?
I will try to post some of my pics asap in a separate forum thread, hope it won't take long waiting.

So how are the potential tourists from Russia think about the Philippines ever since the tourist visa requirement had been suspended?

As for pool-a-holics, you can be sure we are there forever, no matter the visas :p Even this year we learnt that we don't need a visa any more on the very morning we we heading to the embassy with our passports, photos and fees :D
As for common tourists, I don't think there are too many of them visiting Philippines compared to other countries which are popular on the market. It's a long trip, no direct flights, and people would choose Thailand or Indonesia instead which offer more Asian spirit and exotique. Only divers probably know pleasures of Cebu, Bohol and other destinations. For me personally, Boracay is still undiscovered ;)
Philippine Ministry of tourism should make more advertising in European region imo.

Try Siargao or Dakak Vahmurka, Boracay would look like a dumpster! :D

Vahmurka,
I'll see you again at Araneta next year. I may check out Angeles City, Borocay, Cebu, etc. as well. And I'll definitely make it to One Side.

One of these days I'll check out Moscow.

Next year Araneta could be doubtful. They have built a new Convention Center on Cebu, so the WPC gonna be there as far as I know. I cna't imagine WPC without One Side action, but seems like they will have to move it there or handle without it for a while ;)
What do you mean about Moscow? Heading there someday?

Thank for the report Bro. Just read this today as I was busy as hell coming back from WPC.

Here is my take on Cebu. Cebu will be a really nice place for WPC '08. Lesser traffic than Manila. Cheaper all-around as the standard of living is far lesser than Manila. You also don't need to travel far for a nice whitesand beach located at the Island of Lapu-lapu. You want Boracay, you only need to go to Bantayan Island up north. Bantayan is what Boracay used to be 10 or 15 yrs ago. For diving, you have Moal-boal down south and of course, Bohol, which has some of the best drive sites in the world at Panglao Island.

The only drawback in Cebu is a decent poolhall. Have not seen a Brunswich Table over there. Have not seen something even close to a poolhall like One-Side. There is a nice enough poolhall in SM (Ground Floor), but the spacing between tables is too tight. It might change though ones the news is announced.

See you all hopefully next year and in Cebu for WPC '08. ;)

somehow I can't give reputation to BlowFish and gopi-1 at the moment, says I "should spread it before giving them again". Okay, later may be, but now you guys know I approve your efforts just like you do mine. Thanks!:)

I'd like to go someday. Now I know someone who knows the pool scene there. Its on the way to Bangkok if I want to take the Eastern route.
