Dymond wood

BTW thanks for all that share here...

I made a ferrule for a break cue out of cocobola dymondwood. It looks great.

I have been hammering it for 2 months now and it holds up like a piece of iron. I have a standard triangle tip on it. It breaks super but it does feel a little soft when I slam it.

Has any one used dymondwood for ferrules or other cue parts and what do you think of it??

thanks

Kim

If you like it then great. I though think it looks horrible. Too many absolutely beautiful exotic natural woods are available...I'd much rather use those as I prefer the designs by Mother Nature. The only place I could ever consider using it would be in ringwork or maybe a deco ring...and then it'd need to be by customer request. I'd definately never ever use it for a ferrule...too many superior material, performance options already available. But hey, thats what makes the world go round...if you & your customer are pleased then thats all that matters.:)
