If you ever get a chance to see the Accu-Stats DVD of the 2003 U.S. Open finals between Jeremy Jones and Jose Parica, you will see how slow play can affect an opponent. :o

And the audience, too, for that matter.

Well, all I can say is that Keith and probably 95% of all the other pool players are blessed with hands that don't sweat like Jeremy's hands sweat. He tried using the pool glove, but he could never find one that didn't bother him. I think if Jeremy had his way his hands would not sweat so much, he would not have to use the baby powder on every shot and he would not have to towel down his hands and cue on every shot. He probably wouldn't be prancing around the table like Keith, but obviously that routine would be absent.

Always thought this was a good game for Darren, no disrespect to SF but I'm sure it won't be long before Darren will be calling out the SVBs and Alcano's of this world.

TAR is made for Darren and he's never been short of a back or two, be interesting to see who he plays once he's won a few.

Well done Daz

This is funny because it was only two years ago when people were talking about it not being long before Van Boeing began calling out the best in the game.

Frost just won the first set of nineball 11-9. They are on break, about to start the second set.

I have refererred to this Jones vs. Parica finals previously on this forum, but I won't do a search and post up my remarks. However, I have said it before MANY TIMES on this forum, and for you, Senor, I will say it again.

If I was shooting in the finals of the U.S. Open, I would do whatever it takes to win, and I wouldn't give a damn what the audience thought.

I know that Jeremy's hands sweat, and that that is the reason he wiped his hands with a towel, took a swig of water, and powdered up after every single shot of the entire finals on the TV table.

In fact, I am well aware that the TV table lights were brutal for many players, making them sweat. Keith was careful in selecting what shirt to wear when he had to play on that table. And I have sympathy for Jeremy suffering a medical condition like this.

As an audience member, it was a painful finals to watch. Most everybody left before it ended. Jose Parica closed his eyes and seemed to be taking brief cat naps between his turns to shoot.

Jeremy would never be able to prance like Keith, not in a million years. The visual of Jeremy prancing around the table makes me laugh. :D

There will only be one Keith McCready in this pool world, thank God. I think one is enough, don't you?

I'm not sure if you're a football or basketball fan, but I think similar analogies can be made to the Ravens who won the SuperBowl a while back and the Rockets and Knicks NBA finals in 94. Winning ugly doesn't please everyone, but it also does not appear to affect the true fan base. I agree that it does negatively affect the casual observer, but as we know, it's hard to please everyone. I'm sure that for every person that was bored by the pace of play that finals match, there were those that were sweating each shot like they were playing the match themselves, just because they know that each player deserves the recognition and the money.

I actually do wish there were more Earthquakes in the pool world, there would without a doubt be more action and less waiting.:D
