Dynasphere Challenger set.

We've done that a few times for skeptical bangers.
A lot of these guys simply don't notice the details.
That's not what they're there for. Pool for them is an escape, a once a week night out of the house, drink a few brews, forget responsibilities and bang some balls.
I play on the other side of the room.
Funny, never thought about new balls and speed. I mean, you know when there is new cloth and you figure the balls get cleaned every so often.
Was watching a US Open match with Bergman vs Mellng and Mark Wilson got to talking about abrasions on the balls over time that you donât see even after cleaning. He said that new balls roll 10 percent farther.
I agree they play very nice. However, the color blind guys on my team would disagree with you on the confusion. I have to watch both of them very carefully to make sure they don't play at the wrong ball, as the colors seem to blend together and the numbers are only on one side.
I was long all night.
Don't get to play on new cloth and nice equipment very often unless it's on a friend's home table.
I'm prolly the worst judge of how balls should react on new green and coming off rails.

I can't imagine the handicap being color blind would be.

I have no clue what he's talking about as to the colors. Predator Arcos2 balls(https://seyberts.com/products/preda...ol-ball-set-by-aramith?variant=41732787798214) use same classic colors as Aramith balls, big surprise since that's who makes them. The 7 and 5 are the same shade of grey to a lot of people. Get unfortunate with how the numbers hide themselves and it's a recipe for unpleasantness.
Aramith balls are same colors. Why would these be any different? Are you saying that any ball set colors jacks with them? That i can see but not just the Dyna's. Makes me even more glad my vision is 5x5 normal.
My home spot has OLD Centennials and the cb and 1b in every set is SMALL.The balls at one of the halls I play are smaller than regulation. Not much, 3-4 mms or so, but I have to compensate for it.
Perhaps they have worn down over time, use, polishing, etc ... My thoughts being they might be 2nds.
Hall owners need to cut costs anyway they can and if my rep came in and told me he had 20 sets of phenolic seconds but they run slightly smaller, I'd be seriously tempted.
League players won't notice the diff. Heck, they can make more balls on barboxes if the balls are smaller.

I don't pay much attention to the color debate.
Not something that affects my game as I'm not a tourney player . As long as the 5 ball stays orange, I'm good.
Cheap has always been, and will always be popular with some. Itâs nice that tolerances are tight, but the mention in how they âplay differentlyâ in the original post is a red flag IMO.
It's not a red flag at all.... Just different. It's something to do with the surface finish... It's MUCH glossier than any other ball that I've seen. Because of the surface finish, the balls stay cleaner, for a MUCH longer duration than any other ball that I've used.
The difference in play is only slight. The balls tend to spin more and slide more. Much like a freshly polished set. Though, they play that way for a very long duration.
From my own personal testing:
We started playing with a set of Challengers on our shop table, back in May. We have yet to clean them, and they still look like they did on Day 1.
To compare differences, I decided to switch over to a freshly polished set of Centennials. I have put in about 3 hours of play, (on a Diamond), and have noticed that the balls have the typical black pocket markings (Diamond specific), and fingerprints (from racking). The Challengers showed none of that, in dozens of hours of play.
I have just ordered a set of Aramith Tournament Series balls, to practice for an upcoming tournament. I'll note my observations with those balls. From my past experience with them, they do not stay clean for very long, especially in comparison to the Dynasphere Challengers.
Think what you want, in regards to perceived value, based on the low price... These balls are not just an excellent value, but an excellent set of balls.
Nothing from nothing, but as YOU are the one selling them, I imagine you donât want that point to considered a red flag. Iâm sure to the average banger they wonât notice the difference in play anyway.
What you describe is similar to how those crappy Cyclops balls from China play. Bottom line, Aramith is the standard of the industry and if your balls âplay differentlyâ from that standard, I find that a red flag, irrelevant of âexcellent valueâ. As I said in my initial post, cheaper will always be popular with some. To me, it makes an old adage spring to mind, you get what you pay for.
however the dyna balls stay cleaner and that makes more people happy. an old die hard player is used to the centennials and wont like any change. that's all i played on forever. but at home now i like the dyna type balls.

My Aramith Tournament Duramith's play very similar to my new Challenger's, although they get dirtier slightly faster. My Duramiths are fairly new though as I would think they only have about 10-12 hrs play on them. The Challengers I now have about three weeks on them with about a half hr a day play and have yet to clean them. I did play with my Duramiths a couple days to compare and not much of a noticeable difference other than the Duramiths didn't stay as clean. I think the break difference I noticed when first playing with them was more in line with them being new vs the Aramith Premiums I had used for 7 years or so. I really love how clean they stay vs the Aramiths.
