Sorry I have no information but am curious if the tournament is for Eagle members only or for anyone? Is it at their lodge?
I am an Eagles member in SoCal and some members of my lodge are considering putting on a tournament. I am not sure its a good or feasable idea but several members would like to see it happen.

Good luck if you go to your tournament in Meadeville.

this is a six person partners tournament, members only, draws about 60 teams, mostly from the region.

Little more info

The tournament in Meadville is near Erie, PA and is a yearly Pennsylvania tournament that moves from one location to another each year. I joined the local Eagle Club in December but you must be a member for 6 months to be eligible to play in the yearly tournament. I missed the cut off date by 5 days.
I here that they are great tournaments with lots of fun and look forward to playing in the next years event.

Thanks
I think I am going to contact someone in Meadville and ask a few questions. I know my lodge wants to have a team tournament for our district but maybe I can open it up larger.
having tournament space is not an issue at all as some of the local lodges have beyond ample room for events. One issue is the tables and the cost associated with bringing them in for the event. I wonder if using a local pool room would be the better option. Two local rooms have 8-10 bar tables each and plenty of room.
It would be a great way to raise funds and awareness for The Eagles and for the chosen charity.
thanks again and any other information is welcomed. I still would need to decide on format etc

In NE we have a huge team tourment. This yr we had 114 teams with 8
players on a team. We played 20 rounds this yr in a round robin. A lot of games in a weekend. It is only for Eagles.

Would like to see details on eagles tournaments. Post a flyer or something.

bump in case some flyers were sent or available.

I would love to see them as well.

We were at the lodge talking and I told them about some of these numbers and our guys really want to put one on here in SoCal.
We would not have nearly that many teams but I think we can get 10-16 teams of 5 for a first year.
If we combined it with the VFW we could easily double it which was my suggestion since its for charity. Maybe have a VFW bracket and an Eagles bracket. Get two winners then have them face off. The VFWs here have their own league so they are used to having teams.

Evidently there was a regular tournament in the 70s and 80s then it died out.

My team out of Hanover won. 64 teams, double elim., partners race to 5, 8-ball, no player could shoot more than 3 games in a set.
