eales visits Betmore's Basement

Had a great visit this weekend from eales. We played 5 or 6 hours of straight pool - very close competition. I can say he is a gentleman and an excellent player - welcome anytime in Betmore's Basement.

I am again reminded of how many true students of the game hang out on AZB. I lurked for a couple of years before meeting anyone who posts here, but I can say that all of the players I have since met through the forum have been extremely enjoyable people with whom to hang out and play (with the extremely huge exception of that troll breakup...just makes me shudder thinking about his hideously disfigured countenance).

you must be a mighty generous mean betmore to be so kind as to host so many AZ'ers in your house. i'm originally from indiana and know that good pool halls arent exactly running over so its nice to know that somebody has a good home setup

Think of it not as a personal attack on breakup's character (or woeful absence of same), but rather think of it as a noble effort to inform the board of certain abnormal and perverse aspects of a seriously disturbed human being (I think I may be too generous in labeling him human, but I'm feeling in a good mood today....troglodytes and cavemen would be offended by any attempt at including breakup in their number; now that WOULD be mean...to the cavemen).

Remember, it's not slander OR libel if it's true.

I had the pleasure...

of visiting the betmore basement. We played for quite awhile on a beautiful setup. I think I ended up in arears, but williebetmore is right in that we played very even for most of the afternoon. The other poster who indicated that williebetmore must be very generous is absolutely correct. I enjoyed the company and the competition. I hope to get back to the basement sometime in the not too distant future.
