Earl gets hammered by CJ Wiley

Just finished watching the Strickland/Wiley match on the BCN network broadcast. Earl got hammered by CJ Wiley, 11-3. Maybe 11-4 but think it was 11-3. It was like 'Earl the Pearl' never showed up. Was sitting with his head down all the time, walking around the table with his head down. Wouldn't even look at Wiley.

Wiley made the 9 ball on the break twice, on the tv table where everybody has been having trouble with 'dry breaks'. Wiley looked pretty strong.

Side note: Duel vs Archer match last night went hill/hill and was great.

Holy crap, CJ of old is back!. Is it too late to change my prediction?.

I thought CJ might be out to take what should of been his from Earl, but I never thought he would dominate so strongly. Maybe Earl feels guilty about the PBA fiasco. :D

I have to say, CJ has the kind of game and great personality that the pool world desperately needs. So many players mope around the table like they'd rather be out fishing. CJ has charisma by the boatloads and something tells me when he's on, he's an unstoppable wrecking machine.

Go CJ!. I knew it was too early to make a prediction.:)

Just got home from the match myself. Earl had another fine display of the sportsmanship we've come to expect from him. I do think he got a few bad rolls, but that's the way it goes. Everyone sure seemed pleased whenever he scratched. But, the good news is, the work week is done, the girlfirend works all weekend, and I have a three day pass to watch the open! (jealousy is an ugly thing) :p

WOW----What do I know???

This score wouldn't surprise me if the CJ of a decade ago played the PEARL of today.

When did CJ start playing again?

Hope he keeps it up.

I recall he's been active in several IPT qualifier events this year. Must have pulled him into stroke.

Earl won't dare shark CJ or attempt to bully him.
Apparently CJ has a black belt in one of the martial arts.
Not only that, he can shoot some great pool.
RJ

Good to see that CJ is back in stroke.

YOUR RIGHT----CJ would hit the PEARL so hard and so fast he'd think he was surrounded. It'd be over before Doug could get his warm butter on his popcorn:confused:
