I am currently in possesion of 2 of Earl Strickland's pool cues and I am willing to sell one or both for the right price. These were given to me by Earl from his private collection.

Both are Mike Guylassy cues that were custom made for Earl. They have the Gulyassy logo on one side of the butt cap and an engraved Earl Strickland signature on the other. Please make me an offer if you are interested. I am a Pool Room owner in Greensboro, NC. These cues will not be shipped until I have received payment.

Pictures can be provided.

What are the specs? I know Earl uses very light cues and likes very long pro taper.

Strickland

I got to meet Earl and play with a cue Mr. Gulyassy had made for him. I was really impressed by it. Even the tennis grip Earl put on was pretty neat. I especially liked the super tapered shaft. Do these have that same very long taper? What are you looking to get on the maple (2009) cue? Thanks.

The tennis grips have been taken off. I have not weighed the cues yet but I will tomorrow. He claims they are about 17oz without the grip. Yes they have the long taper. These were his shooting cues, not copies.

I have decided I will sell one in a blind auction with all proceeds going to a great cause. I will provide more details shortly as I need to discuss with the person/people affected. I will kick off this auction on Tuedsay to co-incide with the Earl Stickland Challenge matches (please see the thread in the main forum).

Mr Hoppe, thanks for the link....I didn't know how to do that.

It is confirmed, the weight is 17oz after Earl removed the tennis grip.

We are auctioning the 2008 cue off to benefit a very sick 5 year old girl and her mother. I can not tell you a price for the other until after the auction. However, please go to our website to see the details, and make a bid if your interested. http://www.gatecitybilliards.com

The actual auction starts Tuesday at 8:00. At that time we will be having Earl Strickland challenge matches which can be seen on our web-cam.

Are these Earls personal cues or are they part of Earl Strickland line that Mike makes?

They are Earl's personal cues, custom made for Earl. He will be at our place today when we kick off the auction. We will auction live at our club today for the opening bid. The auction lasts for 1 week.

All of the proceeds from this auction are going to help a little girl that is very very sick with a heart problem.

The auction was held last night in conjunction with the Earl Strickland Challenge Matches. The final opening bid for the pool cue was $1,000. The auction is now open until next Tuesday, June 16th at 8:00pm. Please call or email your bids (serious bids only). Remember this is for a really good cause (please read prior items).

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. To shoot with (or just display) a cue previously owned and used by a true legend of the game. Love him or hate him, he is a legend. Also let it be known, that Earl donated this cue for this cause.
