Earl Strickland vs. Russian Kenny

What made it literally 100 times better I'll admit was the way Earl was competing. I never heard him say a word during his matches unless he made a funny comment walking back to the chair after a shot and at one point he missed and said, "I suck at this game huh" with a huge smile on his face lol it was priceless. But seriously I kept watching him in the chair and he was zen like. Almost as if he was meditating when it wasn't his turn.

Reported by many...surely at least a third of "many" are actually qualified to ascertain medical conditions and opine on appropriate treatment?

Oh yeah, that's right. Youre a nutter. No qualification necessary to make determination on any topic.

Carry on, my wayward suh-uh-e-un.

That's fine, but then don't ever expect real professional pool with real money involved.

EDIT: I will also add, that it is reported by many that Earl is SICK and needs medication. If your idea of personality is watching a sick man meltdown, then I have nothing further to add.

Ahhhh, okay. You've NEVER heard that he has a medical condition? Right.

BTW, there have been reports over the years that he has taken meds, but that he can't play or think as well when taking them. I could search for the posts, but why bother. You think he's completely healthy and it's just his "personality". haha

I did not opine on his medical status...did I?

But it's ok, you heard...

Just what I thought. Poor baby is butt hurt over the Vegas thread so you're just using the opportunity to call me names, even though you probably agree with me. Pathetic.

Any connection you infer is a personal problem.

I think the argument could be made that earl has a deep respect and passion for the game and a perspective one can only gain from nearing a half century of immersion in it.

He does not suffer fools gladly and has a damn sensitive meter for the matter.

Utterly ridiculous.

Absolutely!!!
He cares about perfection. And the purity of the game.
If the meds (as others have said) keep him in check then he wouldn't have reacted the way he did to his first loss to M. Krah.
He cares deeply about the game and being the best at it always.

He cares about perfection and purity, but to suggest as BB did that it's the fools (others) that are to blame is what is ridiculous.

Good grief, where do you get that from?!

Get a grip!

He doesn't suffer fools gladly. That implies that others are to blame for his acting out. Like they did something that caused his bad behavior. Ridiculous.

"Definition of not suffer fools gladly - be impatient or intolerant towards people one regards as foolish or unintelligent."

There is NO implication of whether the sufferer is right or wrong in his assessment. Again, any inference of such is purely your own creation.
