Earl Strickland Warnings 2006 WPA

Has anyone throughout the years just simply kicked the crap out of Earl for his behavior? I don't condone violence at all, but it just surprises me that he gets away with such bad behavior without any stories circulating out there about even a punch thrown in his direction. Anyway, he definitely needs some help (either medical and/or psychological). I feel a bit sorry for him, and people who are close to him and care for him should make sure that he gets the help he needs, even if in the short term he may hate them for it.

Maybe Bobby Knight could have a talk with him about his behavior :D

Y He is a true champion. .

true champions don't throw in the towel when things are going bad. it is almost nauseating to watch earl, beaming, happy, and cordial when things are going right, when we all know how unprofessional he is when things are going poorly.

all this talk about food has made me hungry,,,,everything goes better with ice cream,,,,y'all take a break and get some ice cream,,,I know I am !

poor guy...

i watched his match yesterday on the WPC. man... i didnt watch the game as much as watching him.. i really feel sorry for him. by his actions and antics, he looks like hes got a combination of manic depression & schizopheria (spelliing?) i mean, one minute he's cool, the next he is ranting about everyone. then hes talking to himself, then hes smiling, then cupping his head in his hands... during the commercial break the ref was speaking to him bout something... man...

taking nothing away from him... when he's on his game he is simply awesome.

maybe nobody has knocked his teeth in cause they know somethings wrong. i know earl had alotta personal problems to deal with over the years.

A disgrace?? nah... i think he adds colour to the game. i mean for pure entertainment, i would rather watch him rant and rave and still wipe the floor with his opponent!

time to get some food...

I ****in' love broccoli. My favorite is a beer cheese and broccoli soup. I love it. As far as raisins go, I like oatmeal and raisin cookies, but that's it.

Oh and when it comes to Earl. I think he's a great player, but a giant ass. I do feel a little bad for him. It seems like he's not feeling all that great mentally/emotionally. It's coming out in his game.

I have to admit, all things considered, I do like food more than Earl.

Rubbish. Have you seen the gut on him? My bet is he could give you 3 pies start any day.

your right Bruin, but that's if you are talking about mentally sound Champions. He is definitely going though some problems. The question is will He get help and come out the other side, or go down in flames sitting in a pool room 20 years from now with people pointing and whispering.....that guy talking to himself over there was the 6 time World Champ!

on a lighter note, when I was a kid I had a special rabbit that made raisins whenever I wanted them!.....................what?

Wow, I didn't clarify my point. Ok, I like food more than I like Earl Strickland. I cannot say I like food more than Earl likes food though I'm sure Earl likes raisins more than I like raisins since I find them absolutely repulsive. I will also say that between an Earl Strickland Ego-Episode and having raisin-goo for breakfast, it's a real toss-up. I might just kill myself instead.

Hey Jude,
Don't make it bad. It's already a sad song and you're not making it better.

I have to agree with you there Jude. I like food more than I like Earl Strickland too. Food is good. Earl is good too. But food agree with more than I'm sure Earl would. (Accept for copious amounts of lactose! I think I may be lactose intolerant which sucks because I like milk and I like cheese.)

If I had to rate all of this stuff in order from worst to best it would be:

1) Cheese
2) Food
3) Milk
4) Earl
5) Raisins.

(I like this thread)

Cast a lingering glance too many toward one of Earl's raisin pies and he might just save you the bother.

Unfortunately, I think Earl is just a bit beyond help at this point. To my knowledge, he is currently medicated and, as many of his recent rants would indicate, even that doesn't seem to be helping much. I think Earl has finally just reached a level of insanity that is well beyond recovery.

Well on the 2nd video earl tried to shake his opponents hand but the opponent would'nt i can't fault earl for that.

if you read the comments on the second vid its said that Earl made many remarks towrds him and stuff liek that. I wouldnt shake the bastards hand either!

Earl is the "happy gilmore" of pool i think he's funny as hell! Had me lmao shaking his cue at that guy! But if he did that to me i prolly would get pi$$ed off but to watch him is hilarious.

All sports seem to have at least one "bad boy" we have Earl, at least he hasnt chewed off anyone ear yet. i think he likes playing the role sometimes and just gets into his Mr. Hyde role a little too deep.Even though he brings on alot himself, he feels like the Rodney Dangerfield of pool. You either like him or you dont, but you'll never understand him, or whats going on inside his head.

Earl has never been very stable, but he seems to be

And 6-time world champion.Anyways a friend of mine asked him at this years U.S.open to come down and do an exhibition at his place that just reopened. He said he didn't do that anymore and a Earl fan came up and said "hey earl you're the best player i have ever seen!" Earl said you don't have a clue what good is if you think i'm the best. Not sure but it sounds like Earl is in some serious depression.

be getting worse. He appears to be both depressed and paranoiac. He thinks every one is against him. He needs some professional help.

Yea

When I was in Amsterdam, they give you mayonnaise for your french fries...
I still eat french fries with miracle whip. It's no different than any other dressing, {ketchup, mustard, ranch, etc.}
