Well we're down to four, Ive just had the pleasure of watching Earl play the best I personally have ever seen him play. He played five matches today and apart from Bryant steem rollered over everyone. The question is can he defeat 3 filipino legends all in one day? If he beats bustamante he will then play the loser of Parica v Alex and then after that he will obviously have to play the winner. I actually think Bustamante is playing pretty well and probably won't be intimidated by Earls antics but if he gets through that I think he might go on to win it!

earl is the MAN!!!

even though i'm a filipino, i'm behind earl on this one. i like his fire and the way he gets through his opponent's skin. it would be a legendary accomplishment if he can nail his 6th us open title! anyone wants to bet some v-cash on this matter?

Yeah, if Strickland pulls this off and becomes victorious at the end of the day, he would have gone through four of the greatest Filipino players today. He already breezed by Efren, and to obtain his 6th title, he'd have to steamroll past Django, Parica, and the Lion. I'm pinoy, so i'd be glad if any of the 3 remaining filipinos get the title, but I wouldn't be sad either if Earl pulls it out as well, cuz it would be the greatest US Open performance in history, considering the talent he had to beat.

It's over now for Earl.

The US Open will be won by either two Filipinos or a Canadian.

Remember that Alex is from Canada.

Sorry to bust your bubbles, but we overheard Earl muttering under his breath that he had no chance at all to get through these three monster players. He admitted that he was surprised when he beat Efren just like that and he does not really believe that he beat him. He said he thinks he got lucky and caught Efren napping; Efren was overheard commenting that his harm is already sore from signing too many autographs. That could also have been a factor but who knows.

Django said that historically, he had always bested Earl in high pressure matches and he is hoping to do it again. When he started leading he felt that Earl was getting frustrated and he really capitalized on this.

Admittedly, Earl knew that he had a monumental task ahead of him and that put a lot of pressure on him.
