On the 3rd and final day, Earl has a 7 game lead on Efren (70-63), I think it went up as high as 17 games before Efren caught a gear and Earl caught the ire if the audience.

Yep...It was 1 helluva match!

Earl break down???No,not Earl.

Google video does not show the final 90-120 games. The HK Challenge goes to Part 6, but there should be a Part 7-8, I believe.

Too bad since I was watching this for hours, and can't even watch the last stretch.

And the boxset is too expensive....

The COM was easily the greatest match of all time, and Efren winning by 3 games in a race to 120 doesn't prove a lot. Like Earl couldn't have won if it had been a race to 200!

I think those two, at that time, were too close in skill for there to be a definite winner.

As for Earl melting down, he missed maybe 3 makeable shots, and two position errors in the last 25 games. Efren broke and ran out like 19 of 30 games. How do you beat that?

Agreed. This match is one for the history books. Over nearly 240 games and 3 straight days of playing, *both* players had an Accu-Stats TPA of over .910! Most players hope to get a single match over .910, and these guys did it consistently for three days straight. Absolutely amazing.

The first time I watched this matchup, I was amazed at how they were running racks like nothing. Every single rack looks easy. Every single bank looks easy. Position? Automatic! These two really show how to play the game at the highest level. Incredible.

Earl got pissed when Efren finally caught a gear during the final day. that affected his game. it is next to choking.

this is more like the match between Alex and Shane.

you lose your nerves once you see your opponent is making a tremendous run.

the only difference between Earl and Shane, is that Shane blamed himself while Earl blamed everybody.

He would not be Earl if he did not blame everyone.

Seldom you see such an Uncool but cool dude! Much like the John McEnroe in tennis. We should be grateful pool has such a character. Not all sports does.

It is easy to act crazy and angry. But coming from someone with so much talent. That is where the uniqueness lies.

They sell this DVD somewhere?

I think it's only available on the VHS format and basic VCD format. it would had been great if they had it on DVD.

Accu-Stats does have this set on DVD as of a couple of months ago.

My problem with it is, they made one DVD out of each tape. That means something like 13 DVDs, some of which only have 50 or 60 minutes of play on them.

I'm a big Accu-Stats supporter and have bought plenty of tapes, and now DVDs, over the years as I've moved in and out of pool, but c'mon, you don't need 13 DVDs to show this material. It could have easily fit on seven or eight.

Out of everything Accu-Stats has for sale, the Hong Kong DVD set is the only thing that I think is overpriced.

I see. I wouldn't mind buying the whole video at same price with a fewer discs. I'm just too lazy putting a new disc 12 times on my DVD player. it will piss and bore me to death.

it would had been best if they recorded it in a dual/multi-layered Blu-Ray disc. atleast you can watch the entire match with only 1 disc with no interruptions.
