Earl Vs Jayson Race To 25 Turning Stone Prep Last Night

Commentators said that by rule both balls go down, and one of them is the CB, so . . . . .

I was not aware that when balls get hung up like that they are both considered pocketed. Never heard that before.
P.S. a Google search says that if either ball is suspended over the pocket (i.e., the bottom of the ball is past the shelf) and would fall in if the other ball were not there, it is considered pocketed. This would apply to either or both balls. So in the case I suppose they concluded that both were jammed beyond the shelf and if either were removed, the other would fall.

wow. i guess earl is right when he says he can't get a roll in a bakery.

Earl mounted a great comeback and even took the lead, but then went into give up mode when it got tight and Shaw overtook him.

He still plays great- but his mental game is still way off. It's almost like he would rather lose by forfeit than actually try his hardest to the end and perhaps come up short.

I tend to think of Jayson as "the bad guy". Not sure why but listening to him, at least for myself Jayson is a great player who thinks well and interviews excellent.

I have had the pleasure of meeting Jayson a couple of times and was thrilled. I have a feeling he was thrilled to meet me too.:p

this was like a replay of dozens of matches between the two from 8-9 years ago, streamed on insidepool and azbtv.. deja vu. great shotmaking mixed with the same racking arguments, conceding the racks with 3 balls left, etc. not many misses between the two of them either.

i'm not sure you can find 5 american pros that would beat earl. i actually doubt it. that's really saying something about a 61 year old guy. we all know the downside though.
