Erm... what the heck is up with him?

Can't he have some class and just play out his match with Ralf correctly?

He has just come to the table, and hit the one, not even thinking.

I am not sure if he has problems off the table but this behaviour really is bad, doesn't do the game any good.

For those of us who are unable to watch the matches could you guys who can give a little more detail and description about what's actually happening and what the scores are?

My sentiments exactly. I've always been a great fan, but this is not behavior or heart I'd expect from a champion. Someone was talking in another thread about his lack of heart and we've all seen it on BCn.

I think everyone who has something bad to say about Earl needs to lay off. None of us can possibly know what's going on in his head or what's going on in his life. He's a great player and a good person.

Now it is Souquet 10 - Strickland 7

The amazing thing is Ralph is shooting about a .950 and Earl is sleeping while Ralph is shooting, has given away a few pushes, when Ralph takes it and runs out, and still, Earl has now pulled it to 10-7 with the break.

As a spectator and member of this forum, I can express any opinion I like, but I thank you for your opinion.

he needs to visit the wizard of oz, because he has lost his heart.

Though it must be tough playing with a hockey glove on

He sounds like a nice guy off the table, but you just cannot condone how he behaves sometimes, it really is bad to see. The guy is a multiple Champion, he acts like a 10 year old when he plays.

Comment about Ralf's break

Anybody hear what he said about Ralf chipping the 1 into the side at 2mph? Why is he so pissy about that?

he saud it was playing like a bar table and asked wych why he thought souqet was playing well when he was just dinking the balls around. i am parapharesing slightly

That comment elicited more boos from the crowd that was very supportive of him at the beginning of the match. He was suggesting that the way Ralph was playing was somehow unfair to him. I have no idea how.

My feed was choppy, but Earl said a couple of things that made the crowd boo him after the match. Anyone hear it clearly?

btw: I think Earl's playing like he didn't care was more a sharking method. Trying to put Ralf off his game...and it was starting to work a bit.

Sometimes emotions run pretty deep. I think Earl could have thrown something if he could. In other sports it is OK to yell or release pressure. I think Earl needs to find an acceptable way of doing this.

It really wasn't fair to Ralf what had happened and regardless Ralf did play an excellent match.

Earl is a great player, but this is not a first for him and I think he needs to figure out how to not control the emotion rather how to release it.

Earl has make it publicly known that he has no respect for Ralph's game. He does not think that Ralph is much of a talent and is not a natural. Well, I'm thrilled that Earl lost. He is a poor sport and a total jerk. Ralph, on the other hand is pure class and superior champion.

Go Ralph.

Regards,

Doug

Unfortunately, AZB has customarily been the world capital of Earl apologists. I've lost count of how many times people post that because he's a great and often entertaining player, that we shouldn't judge him harshly. Many others suggest that because he's a decent guy when not playing a match (and I quickly admit he's always been nice to me) that this should weigh in his favor.

There's no room for this kind of behavior in the pro ranks. Same old Earl. One of the all time best AND one of the all time worst. Sometimes, I'd swear it seems that's the way he wants to be remembered.
