or the only honest answer I've heard from Earl on the subject.
"He has always strived for perfection in his game, when his opponents "luck out or get rolls" OR He can't play up to his high expectations, he gets aggrivated and acts out". The worse he plays, or rolls against add up the worse he gets...getting the fans involved and turning everything ugly.
To a point I can understand where Earl comes from I've heard similar comments from Mosconi, Lassiter, and Crane on their favorite games about them being able to play at such an incredibly high standard that watching sub-par play makes them sick.
