Early Setup Picture at SBE Oak.PA

Hope to receive more update info from Paul Frankel [Professorqball] at SBE on whether the 3C Champion of Champion Event will be Live Stream by Caromcorner [this would be a separate live stream, not by Inside Pool].

Also hope to have added photos later.

I've seen a couple of those 3 cushion players do their thing at Edgies.

If you never get a chance to see 3 cushion played, I highly recommend spending some time watching the game.

If you can, see if you can hold one of their cues.

The cue is nothing like a cue used for pocket billiards.

You will see types of spin used that you will seldom, if ever, seen in any pocket games. Hence, you will see strokes seldom used in pocket games.

The ability to control the speed of 3 balls and play position for 3 balls is incredible.

There is alot you can learn about banks and spin by watching how they use both.

You will see how important ball momentum really is and how you can use it to your advantage.

Check'em out.

Well it certainly is big. Do the table move around on that concrete if you lean on them? What about seating is there enough? Can you see your favorite players if there is no elevated seating? Just asking. Never been there before I just have done DCC. Do you have to feed the tables?

I didn't really look underneath them but the tables don't move. At least the ones I played on out in the arena where the regular players are at. There is pretty good seating (plastic folding chairs) but there is some standing crowds when something is going on. SVB and Mike Davis side by side on the 14.1 Challenge tables was pretty cool.

There is a 'practice' area with a few feed tables. It's a quarter a game. But after the tournament play ends at night (around midnight or so) all the tables open up for free play. We played until about 3am and there were no issues getting a table.

Thanks for pictures & updates

billiardshot,
very good of you to keep us posted.

Could not make it this year.
Looks like i am missing a great event at a great new venue.

The actual set up is much better in person. It certainly looked cold and drab but when there it was not bad.

The lighting for the amateur event is awful.

I like it better then the convention center, all one floor, lot's of parking and tables were good. Heading back down at 2:30 for my match at 7:00,was there until 1:45am home at 4:00am. Gotta sleep in my own bed. :D
