hi keith , just wondering if you have any plans to play in canada,if so when and where.i have just started playing pool recently after a long layoff from snooker (i played,i mean , attended college while i played snooker back in the early 70's) some of the guys in the newmarket house league were involved in the 'emptario' tour a few yrs back and with great respect talk of your buddy denis hatch. it would be very entertaining to see both of you play!!!keep up the good work.... hope denis is ok.
Dkingofnmkt, thanks for your kind words. I hope to some day make it back up there to Canada. They put on some of the best tournaments, and the people are first rate.
The Western Canadian Open is coming up June 16-20, and in conjunction with the new and improved UPA, it should be first-class event at Great White Billiards in Calgary, sure to bring in many of the top players from all over the world as well as those UPA touring pros. There's quite a few tournaments coming up in the next month. Of course, the $45,000-plus purse to include the guaranteed $15,000 first place is a handsome draw to many guys like me. Check out the
http://www.upatour.org website for more information.
I plan on attending the Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour $25,000-added Finale, June 3-6. Tour Finale at Spot Shot Billiards, (207) 773-3466, in Portland, Maine, $25,000 added, $135 entry for members who have played in 3 events or $335 entry plus membership otherwise. I am looking forward to the Larry Lisciotti Memorial tournament to be held here. He was one of my best friends in life, and I wouldn't miss this tournament for anything in the world.
Haven't seen or heard from Dennis in a while, but I wish him well.
