Ebay auctions

I've dealt on ebay for a few years and I've sold a few items and bought quite a few things. When I buy or sell something I can't wait to contact the buyer/seller and let them know what's going on with my payment or when i'm going to ship to them. It gets to me when I buy an item and pay with Paypal right away and then not hear a word from the seller. I can't help but wonder "did I just get screwed" and then I wait hoping the deal goes through OK. I don't understand how someone can have an item on ebay (individual seller selling a pool cue in this case) who knows when their auction is ending and then gets notification from Paypal that the item has been paid for and they can't find 5 minutes in the next 24 hours after the auction ends to email the buyer to let them know about when they will ship the cue.

Has anyone else had this happen and what do you think about sellers who do this?

That is one of my pet peeves. When the seller does not communicate with the buyer. I always contact the buyer immediately after payment is received with tracking info and when I ship the cue usually the same day.
I always use paypal shipping also with USPS delivery confirmation. I also hate when the seller advertises "flat rate shipping service" which means absolutely nothing to me and they can ship anyway they want.

It's happened to me on several occasions but whaddagunnado?

What really gets me riled up is when sellers wait until you leave them feedback before they leave you (the buyer) their feedback.

They are supposed to leave feedback for the buyer as soon as the buyer has completed his/her end of the transaction, i.e. as soon as the buyer has paid. Instead they wait to see if the buyer has given them positive feedback and then they provide the buyer his feedback. That way the buyer can never make a legitimate complaint unless he wants his feedback to suffer. The seller can screw him to death but if he complains in public then he gets a negative feedback.
