so i was asking on here earlier this week re: scruggs sneakies vs. frey sneakies, mostly cuz i was watching a couple of scruggs on ebay. I had looked up scruggs sneakies in the 3rd blue book of cues, and i think an excellent one was like 300, 90% was like 275................hell the one i was watching went for $660.00!!!!! It had an extra shaft but not an original. Either blue book has it wrong or they are some hardcore scruggs lovers out there. Oh well back to shopping.

I had a Scruggs Sneaky Pete (probably one of the last few he made) between 2001-2003 or so. I used it as my player and in a lot of bar tourneys on Valleys. Over the course of a few years while breaking with it and driving it into the tables metal end caps I had scraped off alot of the finish on the butt and it had all turned blue in those areas. And the shaft was super blue since I cleaned it every month or so and eventually got into the deep grains. I bought the cue for $220 I believe. When I listed it on ebay I showed all scrapes and the overall condition it was in. The thing sold for $375 all beat up. Still wish I had kept it myself and got it refinished.

Before I made cues I always had one. I bought several from Tim...brand new for $175. Wish I had held onto a few.

Yer right the market is up! Re: the second TS shaft, Keep in mind if you ordered a replacement shaft from Tim I think he charges $250 now.
