Got an email (see below) from Jerry McWorter about this cue on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160423577781&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
he says its not his cue! So beware.

The guy currently selling, claims it to be McWorter, even though the guy who sold it to him 5 days ago said its McCormick. Nice way to get a price jacked up. Here see for yourself http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300412813339&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Thanks guys,I did put a modest bid on it- not really expecting to get it.I am going to cancel my bid soon if I don't get out bid:eek:

I would cancel now. Your bid will only help him get more cash for a misleading auction.

Saw the cue on eBay also. Thought there was no way it was a Mcworter cue. I have one and there is almost nothing similar to a real McWorter cue with this one on eBay.
I hope the seller stops the auction so there will be no problems later.

You would have to think that anyone who knew anything about his cues could see that this is something he would never had made. SS joint? pin? the rings? the wrap? the dots on the points?? Jerry has done squares but never checkerboards like that. I could go on and on.....

I guess copies in Japan are pretty common. Simply stickered lookalikes.

I saw that package auction listing with the Justis case. I considered bidding on it and decided to do some research on the cues. I started to check on variations of the McCormmick cue maker name, and also saw McWorter. It didn't look like his work, so I passed on the auction. I couldn't find anything on McCormmick. The Justis case was nice, but I wouldn't have paid that much just to get the case when the cues have no value.
