I should get so lucky when I sell a cue - the bids make no sense at all- either a crooked auction or dumb people.
 
That model has a full splice and with the brass joint, it probably throws a lot of folks off. The bumper is wrong too.

I’ve had people tell me with certainty what cues are, thinking them to be custom when I know they are older imports. They usually think buttcaps or joint have been replaced or repaired.

People can and will convince themselves whatever they want to believe.
 
I know a few people who recently upgraded and sold their old cue and they sold extremely quick. It seems like a strong sellers market for cues right now.

I don't know if this is a sign the game is gaining popularity, or if people are taking up pool in lockdown, or what is going on.
