This was the first Cue Tim and Mike built with an Ebony forearm. If you know his work you can see Mike Cochran's hands on this very special beauty.
He was a master.
Nick :)

What could we do about that! We like each other Scruggs Cues! Your right there is only one first. I would be surprised to know if Tim built more than a dozen Ebony front Cues. It like yours has the sharp inlays and is a beast on the table.
Here is another I had

Top Cue,
Nick :)

I can't stop you from offering! I remembered Tim Scruggs charged $1900 for a Veneer Cue with two shafts with the Ivory Ferules.. $300 extra for an ebony forearm. He charges $200 extra for the boxed veneers. The Large inlays in the back were $100 each. The inlays in the front were $75 each. Add the artistic green veneer boxes with 4 Ivory dashes above and below! $500. Insane Lizzard wrap!! $250
$1900 Base price Veneer Cue
300 Forearm
200 Boxed veneers
400 Fancy Large rear inlays
300 Fancy front inlays
500 Green Artistic Boxes with Ivory Dashed above and below
+ 250 Lizzard Wrap
------------
=$4000.00

What would be the provenance added value for this Cue being the first Ebony forearm veneer Cue built at TS and also adding for the obvious rarity of this build in any veneer combination and having this inlay work add to that value given it's minty condition???
The best part of the story of this Cue for me is the fact that it was built for a master of the game, Gary "The Bushwhacker" Nolan who asked Tim and Mike one day if they could try to build him an Ebony front Cue!
Hard to not appreciate all that.
I bought this Cue new years ago from Gary. He always treated me great. Everyone else too I have been told unless you play him some $$$. Then not so much. No happy costumers there!
