Eddie Taylor passes

Pretty Sad Freddy

Freddy, you're right it's pretty sad when all the "pool lovers" here don't even know that such greats existed. Thank God there are people like you around to educate some of them. Some of the lists on an all time greats list last week were pretty pathetic. I can't believe people really asked if there was really a Cornbread Red. That cracks me up. The fact that he and Taylor and Lassiter and so so many others never made any of these lists amazes me.Thank you for sharing your stories of times when pool was really pool.

Ahh ...

The interviews with Eddie Taylor are the type of stories
that mesmerized me to Pool when I was a kid. He was
not a legend in his mind, but a legend in his own time ...

He knew and played with all the great players of his time.
What great interviews ...

In Minnesota Fats "How to Play Pool Right", Fatty refers to Eddie as one of the best bankers in the world!!!!!!!! R.I.P.
