He just lost to Chris Melling 8-7 and with 2-2 slate and if he loses to his next opponent, that is, against Petroni he could be a goner (or a very very slight chance). Davenport also is in Danger with 2-2.

The majority of the Filipinos are hanging on by a thread. The only Filipinos that are secured to make it through the next round are Orcullo, Bustamante, and Gallego.
Efren, Alcano, Pagulayan, Luat, Santos, Parica, and Lining all should advance if they win their last match of the day. If they don't, half would automatically be eliminated and the rest would need miracles.
As for Manalo, he still has hope. Not only does he have to win his last match against Boyes (very tough to do, the way Karl has been playing), Heuwagen needs to beat Hsia and Gallego needs to beat West.
Kiamco also still has a slim shot, if he wins against Hatch and if Varner gets slaughtered by Saleh.
I'm going to bed, so I'll see who's left standing tomorrow. I'm guessing that half of the Filipinos won't be there in the morning.
I think the Philippines has to step aside...this tournament belongs to the Brits and Americans.

Efren's GLI is the highest in his group. He is not going anywhere this round.
Cant count the filipinos out, never count them out. As of right now Bustamante has the best GLI out of all the players in round 2 with it being 71%

Today is a new day, and the Filipinos are striking back. All the Filipinos won their first match of the day (except for Orcullo who has yet to play). Some interesting outcomes...
Luat beat Nevel, Parica beat Vandenburg, Gallego beat Varner, and Lining beat Hann.

Montal lost a double-hill match to Tony Drago, but not without giving Drago
a good fight.
Ronnie Alcano started the day on a good note with an 8-6 win over Hung
Ming Chu in Group 65 while the pair of Django Bustamante and Alex
Pagulayan were kicking asses in Group 66 as they both won their 1st match
in the 3rd round against Tony Cochan and Furuta Kazuo via an identical 8-6

The underrated Nikoy Lining tripped Aussie Quintenn Hann, winning 8
games to 4 in Group 67 while Boy Samson Luat dealt Larry Nevel an 8
games to 6 loss. Ramil Gallego is showing he is a force to reckon with as
he nailed HOFer Nick Varner to his seat while registering an 8 games to 2 win.
Jose "Amang" Parica proved me wrong as he showed he still got some fight
in him when he made it through the 2nd round yesterday. He started his
day with a double-hill win (8-7) this time against Dutchman Nick Van Den
Berg.
But the featured match of the day belongs to the legendary Magician
himself, Efren "Bata" Reyes, as he chalked up his first win in Group 71
against the Scorpion, Johnny Archer. His 8 games to 5 win over Archer was
spiced up with 3 breaks and runouts as he show to all and sundry that the
road to the championship will go through him.
Dennis "Surigao" Orcullo had a bye in the morning matches...
