While watching a recent Pool Player Podcast episode, Emily Frazer mentioned that there was an article in the The Times this week that discussed Matchroom and their plans for Nineball.

I found the article and it mentioned about the possibility of having an Efren Reyes Cup which would be between Europe and Asia.

Wasn't this supposed to happen a few years ago, when he was going to retire, after the tournament in germany. But he never did.

Efren Reyes Cup was announced few years ago , also appeared in MR programming directory but MIA suddenly https://matchroom.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/TV-Sales-Cat-Feb-2019.pdf Maybe they will revive it. Nowadays nothing is done deal even if announced/press released in black and white by any promoter. I only believe it when I see first lag

If it will ever be helt, I hope Efren gets a say in the design and setup. I would hope it would have more than one discipline and I hope it would have 3 teams: Americas (N+S), Europe/Africa/ME and Asia+Australia.
