Efren Bata Reyes, aka The Magician, advances to the quarterfinals of the 40th All Japan Championship in Amagasaki-shi, Hyogo prefecture, Japan. This is the latest info I could get on the event. There are only 8 players left! Could be an interesting read. And I kid you not!

The result of this event has been already posted in the main news section. Wu Chia Ching defeated Efren Reyes 11-6 in quarter final, and defeated T. Kuribayashi of Japan, 11-3 in the finals to win it.

I saw that Efren did real well and was paid 25,000 yen. Is that $2,500 US dollars or a little less? What were the payouts in dollars?

25,000 yen comes out to roughly $227 US dollars. I sure hope that Reyes got more than that!!!

I think it was aboutt JPY250,000 or around $2000....
