Efren...using Meucci now?!?

Ok, mabey it's not a big deal becaue players will change cues often. But he went from a Judd to a Meucci? I mean, I have NOTHING against Meucci at all, I guess I just a bit suprised is all. This was on the WPC website just in case anyone would like to know where the information came from. As a matter of fact, it says it on this website as well.

Didn't he shoot with one when he first came on the scene? I may be remembering wrong.

Efren shot with a Moochi back in '96 ( he used it to lose to Rodney Morris at the US Open and beat Earl with it in COM, Hong Kong ).
He has not shot with it after the contract ran out. WPC's site needs updating.
Efren's using a Judd JT1 or the ebony with ivory and silver Judd as far as I know.

It said that on the WPC website last year as well. It was wrong then too. It was probably never correct. I believe Efren played with a Meucci over 10 years ago.

Has anyone ever heard of a Custom cue maker by the name of Pat Diviney ?

He used it the first time in the US Open Rodney Morris beat him in the finals.
I remember it vividly. I was at Best Billiards when that tourney was happening. The owner there told me Efren signed on with Meucci.
I saw the cue a week later when Efren used it at Danny K's. He lost to Parica in the finals of that tourney. He did run 5 racks with it there.
The week later, I saw Efren play at Hollywood Billiards. He used that same Moochi upstairs to play a man named Bruce some 3-cushion billiards.
I kid you not. That tapered down Moochi shaft was so whippy it looked like spaghetti sometimes. Yet, Efren used it to play some 3-C. Bruce was shooting with an elephant ear wrapped Gina. A drop dead gorgeous b'eye 3-c cue made by the master.
Weeks later, Efren used that cue in Hong Kong.

playing 3C with a meucci takes some serious talent. I had one once and hit some billiard balls w/ it. It was funny. My 3C game is not quite up to Efren's tho. Yes, he can play with anything. The question is why he would. Paid by meucci is the only and obvious answer.

Going from good to bad .That is not all good .I was reading somewere he played with one a dcc..this past year ..
