OK.. seriously you and I know that when you sell a used condition item, you're not going to map out every ding, dent, finish lift, rub, or sugar mark.

Would you buy a cue that was described like this "good overall condition" OR..... slight wood impression 3" down, about .005 dp, another slight wood depression 6.432959 inches down .001357895 dp, delamination of the finish at the joint for .375986 arc length of the joint, chip in butt cap, .004 nanomicrons fade to .006 dp in center, birsdeye shows slight discoloration due to ultra violet breakdown of the finish 4.98575" above the theoretical apex of the butt cap.

For gods sake, its a used $400 dollar cue.

To tell you the truth Joe, I DO.. When it come to damage that is. I'm a VERY picky buyer and seller. Both of us have had so many cues through our hands that we KNOW what to look for and notice many things others may not. That doesn't mean I wouldn't expect to see some finish issues or bumps and bruises on a used cue. That's to be expected at some level...

Don't blame us for your currency issues... :)

Some of us have been doing this along time. A generalization of the condition is normal. The 100% feedback doesn't mean anything. As a side not I think Jeff Forney operated out of an area near Queens NY.

Good luck with your solution.

JV

It's 571$ CAD.

Actually yes, If I were to try to resell this cue which would be impoissible because of my honesty, I would show the hd pictures of the defects of the cue.........

Yes man I was picky too! but I got lied to of course.

Our sandbox has better sand...

I also stand by my in person transaction scenario and had this been a legitimate ebay purchase.

PO Box in Jamaica, Queens, yes

Also, buyer received a cue that was not in the condition he expected. He told the seller within 24 hours of receipt.

What's the problem with a refund here? I see some names on this thread that would be howling from up on high if this move got pulled on them.

Even after hitting 9 racks with a used cue.

That's all I want, my money back, my dignity justice and I will even pay for the shipping.

Not accurate. He confirmed and accepted the purchase before he did anything else. Very much why had he done this legitimately through the channels he would be sitting there with a cue he does not want. He would have given positive feedback because evidently he acts without thinking. (See buying the cue after not getting answers that were sufficient)

Like I said, they should be talking at a minimum about splitting a refinish.

Agree the sellers az for sale post advertised 2 cues and a case. Then it takes you to eBay where all the pics show 2 cues. Even the item description said nothing about 1 cue.

Those eBay pictures are not closups I personally can't see a single defect that the buyer showed with his pictures.

This listing had so many red flags the buyer should have never went through with it.

To the buyer, if you like the cue except the dents you'll probably be ahead the most if you find a local cue maker to refinish it.

If you can't stand the cue due to all this hassle see if anyone local will buy it. You'd be surprised some ppl won't mind the dings if they want a specific cue.

Not true at all... If this transaction would have been done through Ebay like I originally wanted but he did not want to because he wanted to avoid ebay fee's,.,, Ebay would have refunded me guaranteed, just by me showing them the pictures he showed on his ad and the pictures I took of the reality.

Yes it was very sketchy, :I got duped by the ebay rep.

No one would want to buy this cue in the condition that it is at 425$ US dollars.

So the seller comes on here and posts about a "scammer" who he sold a cue to in an effort to preempt the buyer and protect his reputation as a cue seller.

Then the seller comes here to present his side of the story which, to me personally sounds pretty reasonable. Looking at those pics, I would never have noticed the wear & tear until I got to hold it and play around with it a bit. Could it be buyer's remorse? Sure. That cue wouldn't meet my expectation of "Very Good Condition" and I'd have remorse too. Is the buyer a bit over the top in his communication style? His responses to posts here proves that's his personality, but that doesn't make him crazy.

My concern is that the seller comes on here makes a couple derogatory comments about the buyer and then disappears. Obviously, he has nothing to gain by continuing verbally joust with him, but it doesn't help his reputation either. Additionally, moving an ebay sale outside of ebay and requesting free money via PayPal is shady. Was the buyer a bit naive to accept that deal, heck yeah!

Seems like a simple fix for the buyer to pay the shipping charges and send the stick back to the seller. Once received the seller should refund the buyers money less a 10% restocking/hassle fee. That to me seems quite fair for both parties.

I disagree. They would have taken your initial response and positive review of the product and since you "played" with it, it could be argued that the dings were per your playing. You're own exuberance would have betrayed you.

You would have lost. I have personal experience with ebay and the feedback system.

Yes but he don't want to refund me, he made that very clear in this thread even. I even offerend to pay for the shipping as well for the return.

11 pages of reply. I told you this won't end. I won't go through 100s of messages to show just the right messages to kinda show im in the right like this nutjob. first of all, I told him I won't ship to canada. After 40 or so messages and two other deals that went bad, one for a schon and one for a failed sale, I started to think that someone was ****ing with me. He created 6 different accounts, and the message never came to an end. He kept on insisting that I sell him the cue, the questions and messages keep coming, and coming and coming. I reposted the cue for $425 on ebay on his request, than he backed off. than he started asking questions again, and kept pushing. the only reason I said I would do it only through paypal and as a gift was to protect myself, bc this guy was giving ME red flags. I said no to him several times, but im guessing he wont show those messages, he kept pushing for me to sell to him, and I still had reservations for exactly of what is going on right now as I type this. he forced me to sell to him almost, I did so just to stop the endless messages. I changed the item price and post on ebay three times at his request. I wanted to go through ebay, but he kept changing his mind and kept asking questions ranging from the OB comapny to the feel of the cue to the color of the woods and the kind of chalk i use on it and if I ever farted on the vicinity of the cue. I answered everything patiently. I got fed up at one point and told him I would only do it my way. he loved the cue, than changed his mind. I have never ripped anyone off and never will, ive dealt with people here in sales and trades, several trades that were reversed and resent back, with zero problems, ever, including local. and heres the final truth, I will continue to deal with people here and nevr have a problem, this guy will never deal and if he does he will fuk with you, and when he gets redded and banned, he will start a new account and many more if he needs to. I have never in my life had to deal with so much shit in one situation in my life, well, except with ex girlfriends, but you guys understand that kind of situation. this is my last post on this thread with this guy. he will keep on trying to prove his point, and wont stop, and keep backtracking when he ****s up on a reply and try to get the right answer and than re-reply. and if you went through this thread, you now partially understand what ive had to go through. go to his facebook account, not a single picture of him, it's all weird shit and political statements. someone point him to the NPR section, so the madness here will end.

oh, I also told him if hes ever in NY I wanted to play some and id buy him a beer, introduce him to a few people and chill. this is after all the bullshit, I was still nice enough to invite him for a game. Ive been to canada and love it, I think canadians are fantastic people, but theres that one guy that changes that perception, forever.

I strongly disagree, I have more than enough proof of what happened and it's all over this thread actually.

You're right there is.. there is a post showing you love the cue and agreeing to its purchase, PRIOR to your realizing it has bumps and bruises.
