Regarding today's Mosconi Cup match between Kaci & SVB, can someone explain the physics of how that final 9 ball went in?

I suspect the 8-ball had some type of double kiss off the rail and into the 9 but I'm really not sure. There's a lot going on here.

Since it was above the 8, I have to assume it was contacted by the cue ball before the cue ball struck the 9. If this was not true, the 9 would have went up table diagonally. If that is true (should be), then the 9 moved towards the rail directly in line with the 8 and the pocket. The cue ball struck the 8 and made a combo into the 9 for the win.

It was clearly a total fluke for it to go and I have to believe he was playing to break them open. A really fortunate roll that might happen 1 in 5 or 10 times if replayed.
