I probably should have thought of this sooner but I just cue a butt load of Elforyn inlays. Will exotic woods bleed into it when sanding or will it hold its own like ivory? Nice stuff. Cut like butter.

HI Dano, I have used the stuff for inlays into Coco & had no problem. Coco will bleed into Maple, but not Ivory or Elforyn...JER
Still gittin' rid of wood, so if you want something, let me know. For you only, we can work out a payment plan...

Jer is right about no bleeding. One problem with elfron is that it gums up the drum sander. We don't use it anymore because of that. We use real ivory. It's not that expensive for what you can charge for it.

Thanks guys. I just sent a 2 x 12 piece with 48 diamonds, 14 darts, and 4 skulls through my drum sander last night. I'm a pro when it comes to nesting in Autocad. I never even looked at my wheel? Sure did smell perdy though. :smile: Rick, how are you sending small pieces of ivory (or anything for that matter) through your sander? I'm cutting a butt load on purpose so I don't waste any material and I don't want to send a block that is too small through.

Jer, I have 12 days vac left to burn before the Christmas shut down. How About I come down the week of Thanksgiving? How do you keep the coco out of maple so well? I put one of mine next to yours and it looks like I freakin stained mine.

It's the thinner in the clearcoat, that pulls out the red stained look. I don't use a primer or sealer, but I spray my 1st couple of coats pretty dry (more air than clear)...JER
