this cue is being made for bigslick, an idea of his after seeing some of my other elk handle cues.
this is a willie hoppe titlist full splice cue. hoping to keep the hit of a one piece, i turned down the cue from just behind the points and sleeved the elk handle, rings, butt cap over it. the cue is one solid piece from the joint to the butt. i have made 2 other cues using this method and both hit very solid, i expect the same from this cue.
old growth shaft with no ferrule. wood pin.

Great cue Chuck, they just keep getting better and better, if you keep going at this rate the bar will be out of reach for many of us!!!!:)

Take Care Buddy

The antler looks really nice! Does this material add much weight? Is the handle threaded & glued onto the Titlist frame?

sleeved over

the titlist is turned down to .62 from just behind the points all the way to the butt. the elk handle, rings and butt cap are drilled. the butt cap is threaded. using 24 hr epoxy the pieces are slid into place then the last piece screwed on and tightened. every thing is cut slightly oversize. after it cures one more clean-up pass on the lathe.
this is similar to something i saw on azb.
